1) Es ist zu klären, wann, wie und an wen Miglioretti das Werk verkaufte oder gab.
2) Bislang unbekannte Provenienz/en. Aus der nachfolgenden Provenienz ist zu schließen, dass Alexander die Arbeit vermutlich direkt beim Künstler erworben haben könnte. Diese Vermutung ist noch zu belegen.
3) Am 23.5.1867 schreibt Alexander an die Commission der Städtischen Gemälde-Gallerie, dass er von Direktor Hayn, Mitglied der Bau-Commission der Kunsthalle, die Erlaubnis erhalten habe, die besagte Skulptur in einem der unteren Räume, angeliefert in einer Kiste, abstellen zu dürfen. Er habe sich vom einwandfreien Zustand der Arbeit überzeugt und stellt die Arbeit nun als Geschenk der Kunsthalle zur Verfügung, bittet jedoch darum, dass die Arbeit mit der Eröffnung der Kunsthalle allgemein gesehen werden kann . Die "überaus werthvolle Bereicherung unserer Kunstammlung" wird mit "wärmsten Dank" von der Commission angenommen und der Forderung entsprochen. Siehe HAHK: 127-56.6 (ehem. Adoph Bernhardt Alexander (GND: 1011821893) war als Kaufmann im Textilbereich tätig. Mit seinen Partnern Alexander Julius Saalfeld (1794 - 1860) und Lewis Heymann (1802 - 1869) führte er die Textilhandelsfirma "A. J. Saalfeld & Co.". Nach 1847 betrieben Alexander gemeinsam mit Heymann die Firma "Ad. Alexander & Co." mit Sitz in Hamburg, später unter dem Firmennamen "Heymann & Alexander" deren Sitz in Nottingham war. Weitere Niederlassungen befanden sich in Leipzig, Bradfort, St. Pierre les Calais und Caudry. Für die Deutsch-Israelitischen Gemeinde war er von 1851 bis 1866 als Vorsitzender aktiv. Und auch politisch zeigte sich Alexander tätig, insbesondere hinsichtlich des Anschlusses Hamburgs an den Deutschen Zollverein. Von 1859 bis 1862 gehörte er der Ersten Hamburgischen Bürgerschaft an. Publizistisch äußerte er seine politischen Überzeugungen in einzelnen Schriften und in der Zeitung "Hamburger Nachrichten". Verheiratet war er seit dem 3.9.1828 mit Sophie Meyer (#### - 12.5.1861). Beide wurden auf dem Grindelfriedhof Hamburg-Altona bestattet. Siehe hierzu die Nr. 4494 in "Grindelhof" auf http://www.jüdischer-friedhof-altona.de/datenbank.html (9.6.2020). Nur ein Gedenkstein auf dem Bereich "Grindelfriedhof" auf dem Jüdischen Friedhof Ohlsdorf (Ilandkoppel) erinnert heute an Adolph Alexander.
