1) Es ist zu klären, wann, wie, an wen und für wie viel Louis das Werk verkaufte oder gab.
2) Bislang unbekannte Provenienz/en. Es ist zu vermuten, dass das Werk im Erbgang innerhalb der Familie von Louis Gurlitt in die Galerie Fritz Gurlitt gelangte.
3) HAHK: Ausbildung und Vermehrung der Sammlungen, 1910, Bl. 47. Vermutlich bezieht sich Alfred Lichtwark im November 1910 auf diejenige Gurlitt-Ausstellung der Galerie Gurlitt, aus der er schließlich diese (s.w.u.) Werke Gurlitts erworben hat. Er schrieb am 28.11.1910: "Ich habe vergessen, glaube ich, von der Gurlitt-Ausstellung zu sagen. Es waren einige gute Bilder aus den sechziger Jahren dabei, die ich lange nicht gesehen, die mir heute aber imponierten. 4) HAHK: Ausbildung und Vermehrung der Sammlungen, 1910, Bl. 47. Kartothek der ausgeschiedenen und getauschten Bilder. Ankaufssumme HK-1149 bis HK-1155 zusammen 2400 Mark; HK-3435 als Geschenk der Familie beim Kauf erhalten.
