Das vorliegende, bislang unpublizierte Blatt entstammt einem Konvolut von Zeichnungen der Familie Hardorff, das unter Alfred Lichtwark (Direktor 1886-1914) erworben wurde. Das zeichnerische Œuvre von Rudolph Hermann Hardorff ist bislang nur ansatzweise erforscht.
