Alter Bestand; die Kunsthalle besitzt zahlreiche Zeichnungen von Jacob Gensler. Diese stammen aus privaten Nachlässen wie auch aus den Beständen von Kunst- und Künstlerverein. Aufgrund unvollständiger Verzeichnisse ist die genaue Herkunftsbestimmung für das vorliegende Blatt bislang nicht möglich gewesen; mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit ist es aber vor 1915, während der Amtszeit von Alfred Lichtwark, in den Besitz der Kunsthalle gelangt.
