Dargestellt sind hier aufgeschnittene Strom- und Glasfaserkabel, die das Interesse der Künstlerin für technische und physikalische Prozesse verdeutlichen und jenseits unserer unmittelbaren Wahrnehmung stattfinden. Einerseits geht es um die sichtbare Ästhetik dieser Kabeldiagramme, andererseits verweist Canell auf das Unsichtbare: Die elektrische Energie, die durch die Kabel fließt, unsere Welt am Laufen hält und unseren Alltag im Hintergrund bestimmt.

Shown are sliced electric and fiber optic cables, which illustrate the artist's interest in technical and physical processes and which take place beyond our immediate perception. On the one hand it is about the visible aesthetics of these cable diagrams, on the other hand Canell refers to the invisible: The electrical energy that flows through the cables, keeps our world going and determines our everyday life in the background.
